Bone meal and blood

A friend of ours, who is a vegan, wanted to start his own vegetable garden. He went to the nursery to go and find all the stuff he needs including the best fertilizer.

And of course, the best fertiliser or the only one worth using contains bone meal and blood.

While I obviously have no problem with his diet choices, it just occurred to me that nothing is made of nothing. Nothing is made ex nihilo

Old things are made new, life comes from death.

Got me thinking what is there in my life, old forgotten things, talents, gifts, desires, that are aching to be made new?
