Whenever we would go swimming my brother always makes the same joke, 'Granny taught me how to swim..' and then immediately falls backwards, spreading out his arms and legs and start floating, gran was naturally buoyant. :P

This poem came across my path yesterday, it speaks of letting things be as they are, trusting that you should be here, trusting that what you seek, as Rumi would say, also seeks you.

As swimmers dare
to lie face to the sky
and water bears them,
as hawks rest upon air
and air sustains them,
so would I learn to attain
free fall, and float
into Creator Spirit's deep embrace,
knowing no effort earns
that all-surrounding grace.
