What are you waiting for? Nothing, good.

Expectation. This time of year, the end of the year, and in the Christian calendar, Advent, is a time of expectation, waiting for the new to arrive.

Expectation is a paradoxical, ambiguous thing. We should always expect good to happen otherwise it might not. We should never expect bad to happen because then it certainly will. And it is also true that if one wishes to be completely content, one should lower one's expectations, or better yet have none at all.

I suspect the truth lies somewhere in between, but maybe it is better to expect good, but not hold it too tightly?

Have a beautiful week.

Pierre
