What is in your bag?

I picked up an old book yesterday in our, by Max Lucado, the Cure for the Common Life.

I want to share one of the metaphors he uses in the beginning of the book with you.

We are all born with and given a bag, a suitcase, which is filled with our skills, talents, and passions. Many of us are living out of someone else’s bag, a bag that was given to by our families, schools, or the culture. We sort of make it work, but the clothes don’t really fit, and one of the shoes are missing.

We need to live and work out of our own bags, our own unique sets of skills and gifts. When we do that we can add something to the world, and build something great.

Get skin in the game, get your bag back.

Pierre
