Here is a late friday afternoon three things for you.. hope you have a brilliant weekend and an even better week next week.
1. Growing Food in Mars Soil
Ten different species of crop including rye, radish, pea, leek, spinach, garden rocket, tomato, cress, quinoa and chives were sown with Mars or moon soil simulant and Earth potting compost in trays, and it worked.
How cool is that?
2. A Pen
The Uno pen may be one of the most minimal on the market but it doesn’t sacrifice functionality for that less-is-more look. At just 5.3 mm it’s also one of the thinnest, but its barrel grip section is of a standard size so it’s familiar and comfortable to write with, AND IT'S PRETTY!!!
3. Pantsula Stilt Walkers
Semi-Gloss is a public performance work developed by Ayanda Nondlwana and Siyabonga Bawuti (Via Kasi Movers), Monwabisi Dondashe and Athenkosi Nyikilana (Phezulu Stilt Walkers), and Francois Knoetze (Cape Mongo). Semi-Gloss transforms discarded posters into living, breathing ‘sculptures-with-a-heartbeat’
The aesthetic, to me, is incredible, the shapes and textures mesmerising, at the same time familiar and other worldly.
This is by me, Pierre, each week I post three things that grabbed my attention, and that I like. You can also sign up for the newsletter version here
