Have a good one!
1. Barbie has a new body
I'm am an avid feminist, (why I am a feminist) so trends in all things women are always my radar. Barbie has been doing a turn around of note in the last year or so, their new ads are inspiring and fantastic, and now (finally) they are reacting to the ongoing criticism of Barbie's body. They are bringing out 3 new body types, read the cover story on Time.
2. Beautiful Africa
In case you haven't noticed Africa is the Design world's darling at the moment, the unique mix, vibrancy, and aesthetic is popping everywhere from Stockholm to Toyko. Africa is so much more than pictures of starving kids. Africa is a gift to the world. Here is one of my favorite Instagram accounts by Francis Kokoroko, he is photographer living in Ghana
3. Co-lab is the name of the game
In the not too distant future working for a salary will be a thing of the past, most of us will work as freelancers, project to project, creating work swarms as needed.
Enter HitRecord, headed up by Joseph Gorden-Levitt, it is a new kind of production company. You create work, upload it, someone else reworks it or combines it, some of the work gets into finished products which get sold, and all contributors get paid.
How cool is that?
