This week there is two videos, and a quote.. Curated from the onslaught of feeds.
Hope like it.
1. New Beautiful
Again this is one of most significant trends when coming to aesthetics, what we consider as beautiful is shifting. Take a look at these people's reactions when they are told they are beautiful.
2. Bamboo bikes from Ghana
Eco friendly transport is an important trend to track and bicycles are the most perfect. Everywhere in the world we see bikesharing systems pop up, special bikelanes being built. Even the Johannesburg mayor is making it his personal responsibility to create a bicycle friendly city.
The Ghana Bamboo Bikes Initiative is a social enterprise that addresses climate change, poverty, rural-urban migration and youth unemployment by creating jobs for young people, especially women, through the building of high quality bamboo bicycles.
For centuries billions of Christian have fasted during Lent, starting on Ash Wednesday, which is next week and culminating on Easter Sunday. Sharing the fast of Christ. People usually give up some 'vice' for Lent. Pope Francis'advice on what to give up this year?
"So, if we’re going to fast from anything this Lent, Francis suggests that even more than candy or alcohol, we fast from indifference towards others."
This is something we desperately need around the world and in South Africa at a time like this.
This is by me, Pierre, each week I post three things that grabbed my attention, and that I like. You can also sign up for the newsletter version here
