A Metcon of a Meditation session

I had a really crappy meditation session this morning. My mind was all over the place, I rewrote this email about 20 times in my head, did our monthly budget, rearranged about three to-do lists...

Every time having to detach from the thoughts and return to my breath.

But that is the point, to return. The goal of meditation is not quieting the mind, stopping thoughts from happening. That is impossible. The point is learning to recognise when you are attaching to a train of thought and then to let it go.

So, actually, there is no such thing as a crappy session, some are just more intense workouts for your mind than others.

Today was a metcon.

Get skin in the game, exercise your mind.
